Effectiveness Of The SleepTight Infant Soother in Calming Colic Symptoms

The National Institutes of Health (U.S. Department of Health and Human Services) partially funded this three year controlled study to test the effectiveness of the SleepTight ® Infant Soother. The study results are summarized below from Dr. Loadman’s presentation to the International Pediatric Community and Consumer Media. This study is considered the largest study on Infant Colic to date.

Research Results
1. 85% of the colicky infants using the SleepTight ® Infant Soother went from a crying state to a non-crying relaxed mode in an average of 4 minutes of treatment with some as quickly as 7 seconds.

2. 40% of those infants actually fell asleep during treatment.

3. 97% of infants lowered their colic score.

4. The research study demonstrated the corresponding decrease in parental stress when using the SleepTight ® Infant Soother attached to their baby's crib.

Due to its effectiveness, pediatricians, other physicians and nurse practitioners are being very receptive to the SleepTight® Infant Soother and many repeatedly recommend it to parents of their colicky or fussy patients.

The SleepTight®Infant Soother was selected for presentation and well received at the Annual Meeting of the American Pediatric Society and the Society for Pediatric Research. It also has been approved and exhibited over the last 10 years at the American Academy of Pediatrics. The above represent the scientific and teaching pediatric community worldwide.

The SleepTight®Infant Soother has been featured in many international pediatrics and medical trade journals.

Ross Laboratories, a division of Abbott Labs, (well respected makers of Similac ® and Isomil ® ) originally introduced and recommended the SleepTight ® Infant Soother to over 24,000 pediatricians in the U.S. under a Distribution Agreement with SleepTight ® Infant Soother.
